The People’s Public Security Museum is a place to preserve and display valuable documents and artifacts about the history of the formation and development of the Vietnam People’s Public Security force. The museum is located at 1 Tran Binh Trong, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, near many important historical sites of the capital.
The museum displays thousands of artifacts, images and documents, reflecting the process of fighting to protect national security since the People’s Public Security force was established in 1945 to the present. The exhibition content is divided into many topics such as the resistance war against France, against the US, the fight to protect national security during the renovation period, and typical achievements in crime prevention. Some notable artifacts include weapons, uniforms, specialized vehicles and deciphered secret documents.
In addition to the exhibition function, the museum also organizes traditional educational activities, helping the younger generation better understand the role of the Public Security force in the cause of protecting the country.
