“Hanoi – Willpower and the Determination to Win.”
On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), under the direction of the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Hanoi Museum is organizing a Talk Show and Meeting with Historical Witnesses titled “Hanoi – Willpower and the Determination to Win.”
This program is not only an opportunity to reflect on unforgettable historical memories but also a chance to express our deep gratitude to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and reunification. It also serves as a meaningful occasion for all, especially the younger generation, to better understand the historical significance of this important milestone.
Program Highlights:
1. Exhibition: “Hanoi – Willpower and the Determination to Win”
A special event at the Hanoi Museum, where for the first time, guests will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Hanoi – Willpower and the Determination to Win.”
The exhibition presents valuable documents and artifacts that reflect the resilience, endurance, and unwavering faith of Hanoi’s people during the wars against French colonialism and American imperialism (1954–1975). It also honors the great victories that contributed to the nation’s final triumph.
2. Listening to Heroic and Emotional Stories
The program will bring to the audience authentic and touching stories from a time of bombs and fire, told by historical witnesses—those who directly participated in and witnessed key events during the national liberation war.

3. Ceremony to Receive Donated Documents and Artifacts from Organizations and Individuals
The Hanoi Museum will officially receive wartime items donated by organizations and individuals. These include personal belongings, military equipment, letters, photographs, administrative documents, diaries, and other memorabilia from the war era.
These contributions help current and future generations gain deeper insight into the losses, sacrifices, and indomitable fighting spirit of the Vietnamese people.
